About BI Athletic Boosters 

Bishop Ireton has been an Alexandria fixture since 1964.  A college preparatory high school it also boasts a girls lacrosse team that placed 14 girls on the all-WCAC lacrosse teams including the conference Player of the Year, All-American swimmers, national champion oarswomen, the boys Virginia State Catholic League track and field champions, a Wendy’s All-American Student-Athlete, a hockey team that had a 12-1 season, two Washington Post All-Met first team selections, and many other successful sports teams. Almost 75% of the student body play at least one sport.

The Bishop Ireton Athletic Boosters’ mission is to support these programs by making necessary purchases of equipment and repairs in a timely manner.  One recent purchase you can see is the new scoreboard at Luckett Field on Duke Street, which the Boosters purchased and will be used by all teams as well as our girls’ softball team.
